El grupo está formado por especialistas e investigadores de la CUN, HUN, Centro de Investigación Clínica Aplicada (CIMA) y de la Universidad de Navarra (UN). Está dirigido por dos Investigadores Responsables, Jose Antonio Paramo Fernandez (CUN) y Leopolodo Fernandez Alonso (HUN). Este grupo está formado por clínicos e investigadores básicos, y sus líneas de investigación se centran en el trombo en el contexto del ictus isquémico, en la enfermedad arterial periférica y en las complicaciones cardiovasculares asociadas a la diabetes. Tienen colaboraciones con otros grupos dentro del área (Cardiología Traslacional), así como con grupos de otras áreas (Proteómica y Neuroepigenética).
